Voices of the Youth!

After Oct Youth Service :)

Though the last youth service ended later than usual, I really hope the sharing by Jeremy from Navigators really blessed those of you who came!

For those who missed it, here is a few main points I got from it. Those who came, do share what you've learnt and your reflections on it! :)

Basically, Jeremy shared on the most practical way to share the gospel!

And that is to really reflect the love of Jesus to those around us.

How?
1. Ministering out of fulfilment in Christ

Jeremy started by sharing about his life, and how he came to Christ, on how JESUS changed his life and gave him hope and acceptance.... because of this fulfilment he had in Christ, he wants to obey God and minister to others!

2. Meeting needs of others

We can show love to others by looking out for the needs of others and seeking to fulfil them instead of looking at our own needs

3. Making meaningful connections

Let's connect with others and really go the extra mile for all the people who are already around us! Friends from school, work, family, ANYWHERE! Let's make every relationship a meaningful one for Christ!

Let's always remember what the Bible teaches us about LOVE

1 Cor 13:4-7
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

And Jeremy also quoted something from a Max Lucado book

"The moon models our role. What does the moon do? She generates no light. Apart from the sun, the moon is nothing more than a pitch black pockmarked rock. But properly positioned, the moon beams. Let her do what she was made to do, and a clod of dirt becomes a source of inspiration."

I WANNA BE A CLOD OF DIRT!!!!

:D Let's make a committment to God to be a living testimony to ALL around us! It's not easy, but GOD will enable us.. :)

And, after the service, we closed with a nice song and shone with candles in the sanctuary! Check it out! :)
